Worn Out Antiques will launch at Letheringsett Watermill, near Holt, this weekend.
The shop sells all kinds of collectible and reclaimed items and is run by Connor McDermott.

Connor runs the business in loving memory of his late father Shaun, who ran the original Worn Out Vintage in Melbourne Road, Sheringham, until he died in 2022.
He had grown up attending antiques auctions with his dad, so he felt well equipped to take the business on.
“It was also my way of grieving,” he said.

The 29-year-old moved the shop online to cut costs and helped it to grow by handpicking every item and shipping to countries such as Italy, the US and Canada.

He was eventually able to give up his full-time job as a police officer to focus on antiques.

“I didn’t think I would ever be able to open a bricks-and-mortar shop again because it was just too expensive,” Connor explained.
“But then David Gay and Michelle Thurlow, who own Letheringsett Mill, offered me the opportunity to take on the entire second floor.
“I am so grateful – without David and Michelle this wouldn’t have been possible.”

Connor said he is especially excited to be a part of the up-and-coming business hub at the mill.

“It means it can be a really nice day out for people to come, explore, grab lunch and have a mooch.”
Connor would also like to thank his partner, Lulu, for being a “silent angel” and supporting him in the run-up to the launch.
